Abstract

This paper offers a study of the adverb νῦν (and its reinforced variant Î½Ï…Î½á½·) in the Corpus Lysiacum. Our purpose is to provide a description to elucidate its behaviour as a discourse marker in contrast with its use as a prototypical adverb of time.
